This may not be news and I may have missed an official announcement, but anyone I tell seems to be surprised. That said, I’m pretty sure local favorite, Dano’s Pizza, is moving from the Publix Shopping Center. The new location will be one block up on Rosewood Drive, across from Dressler Photography. Dano’s Pizza will have full lunch and dinner service and offer a full bar, meaning they’re adding liquor to the menu.
In other news, word is Rick Patel is moving forward with an outside group to convert the Clarion Hotel to a Hilton Garden Inn. They’re considering razing the two story portion and building a Home2 concept.
If you can’t place “The Clarion,” it’s the hotel close to Coldwell Banker United, REALTORS Midtown office, which is directly between the State House and Five Points on Gervais St.
I’ll investigate this further as it’s only a few steps from our office.
