Tennis Opponents Matter.

Knowing Dorian was on the way, I tried to get as much tennis as possible in before the rain hit the Midlands. I found it very interesting how the different matches “matched” up.

Check out the image above:

Sunday afternoon I played a serve and volleyer for 1:45 hours: 1,650 calories.

Monday I played two doubles matches (Labor Day) One match burned 450 cals and one burned 700.

Tuesday night I played a backspin specialist for almost the same amount of time as my Sunday afternoon match (1hr 34min) and burned half the calories as the Sunday match.

It’s crazy how different styles of tennis your opponent plays can make a difference in how many calories are burned in the same exercise.

Stay tuned for updates on the Fitbit science I have wrapped around my wrist.

Thank you!
