Earlier I heard about a shake-up that will be quite a big deal within the Midland’s real estate industry. By three or four o’clock Monday my phone was bouncing around like a hummingbird was in a pillow fight with a bumble-bee. Apparently the largest local brand in the area merged with a national company and brand . As far as posting names and information, I’m going to yield to professional decorum and let it happen “their way.” Pretty much everyone directly involved should know what’s going on by 10:15AM Tuesday morning.
Will this news make a difference in the day to day ‘stuff’ of Columbia, South Carolina’s real estate marketplace? Probably not. Will the move make a difference regarding Realtors/real estate agents? Yes. That said, it’s big industry news and I certainly want my fellow Realtor friends to be happy.
Depending on sensitivity issues and decorum I’ll update as the news unfolds. As the dust settles I may have to give my $00.02. After all, we have a unique vantage point.
