What you’re looking at above is the old and new logo of the National Association of REALTORS. After 45 years, the Association thought it was time for a re-brand.
As far as I can tell, the reaction to the new design has swiveled on a scale of OK to lukewarm. Meaning: I don’t think anyone is wowed, but they don’t really care either…until they found out what the project cost.
Apparently, a New York/London PR and design firm charged $250,000 for their work. This has not gone over well.
Keep in mind this is one of the largest trade associations in existence whereby the members are independent contractors/1099 tax paying micro-businesses that have come up with beautiful and clever logos and brands for $99 on www.99Designs.com, www.SquadHelp.com andĀ even $10-$20 on www.Fiverr.com .
The new logo was presented to the world a few days ago.
The project has been suspended.
Stay tuned and thank you!!
