Open House Winner @ Buchanan Today.

BuchananLivingThis afternoon most folks were watching the AFC Championship Game between the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots. You know, the one between Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. Well, while I’m sure it was a fun game to watch, I was at an Open House from 2 – 4 on W. Buchanan in Heathwood.

The next obvious question, “Well, how did it go?” Answer: In two hours I had more action come at me than the New England D-Back’s coach had all afternoon. (Enter exaggeration disclaimer here, but you know what I’m getting at).

In two hours Sunday afternoon the Open House on W. Buchanan fetched no less than 12 groups. I may have sat down at the kitchen table twice, only for a few seconds at a time.

“What am I getting at,” you may ask? Answer: Not much. That said, while many real estate folks tout Sunday Open Houses “don’t work,” I continue to do them for my sellers. After all, it’s the least I can do. Better stated, I can at least try to provide as much exposure as possible for my clients. After all, it only “takes one” (buyer).  Again, I can at least try.  I’ll explain more about my theory on Open Houses in another post.

If you or anyone you know would like to discuss buying or selling real estate, and the pros and cons of the particulars of the listing process please call 803-447-8683 or email fjones@cbunited.com .  I welcome the discussion and all the hard questions.

Thank you!
