I don’t usually write about individual closings, but this one gets it’s own post. What’s the big deal? Nothing, really, other than the seller and I have continued a great relationship since I first listed the house, which happened to be during the flux of the market some years ago. Remember that?
1 Tombee Place is a fantastic home. Corner lot, all brick, every room has it’s own bath, three car garage AND circular driveway, and all the modern goodies. The star of the show, other than the neighborhood, is probably the kitchen. This may be a stretch, but as far as I can remember this may be the largest kitchen I’ve every represented. The kitchen is massive and loaded with thick granite slab, down-lighting, and features an extra sort of “kitchen den” (not a “keeping room”). The rub of why it didn’t sell right off? #Timing.
I feel like 1 Tombee Place has been Under Contract almost a year now. Turns out two families wanted the home at the same time which provided a very long “Active Contingent” status and sensitive situation for the seller and me. I represented both sides on both contracts. All parties followed professional decorum and protocol, and the chips fell.
Yay for the buyers and sellers of 1 Tombee Place. The sellers are off to the Lake Murray area, and the buyers are finally out of a rental and in a super fun neighborhood, and only two blocks from the pool.
If you or anyone you know would like to know what your home may be worth, or would like to know any scoop going on in King’s Grant Neighborhood, give me a shout at 803-447-8683 or email franklin.company@gmail.com .
What happened to the couple that didn’t close on Tombee? They close on Retreat Lane on 4/10. Happy, Happy & Win, Win.
Thank you!
